In the midst of a huge national heroin resurgence, national health experts are concerned about new, more dangerous forms of the drug popping up in seemingly random cities across the country. The question is whether these potent varieties of smack will reach Washington, a state where heroin seizure totals have risen more than 1000% in the last five years. And if does, what can be done to combat the drug?
